Every woman needs a pair of shoes in her closet that are feel good shoes. I’m going to capitalize that phrase for emphasis. By definition, Feel Good Shoes are your version of Dorothy’s ruby slippers. You might not wear them often, but they give you a special somethin’. The ladies ooh and ahh, the men admire your good style. These are the shoes you think to bring, no matter the outfit—they always works, à la The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
My Feel Good Shoes are a pair of kate spade karolina pumps. (My color, strawberry, is no longer available, but you can find them in nude, snake skin, and even patent leopard print. This season’s karolina pumps can be found here.)

Not only do these shoes reflect my personality pretty well (pink! shiny!) but they also are insanely comfortable for a 3.5″ heel. I love the leather insoles which have gently molded to my feet. What’s crazy is that everyone else seems to love them as much as I do. This past weekend when we were in North Carolina for a wedding, the photographer actually asked if she could snap a photo. Crazy! Feel Good Shoes should give you that extra boost (certainly in mood, and maybe in height too).
Your feel good shoes don’t need to be flashy or expensive; they don’t need to be heels or dressy or brand-named. They could be a pair of Crocs if that’s what you’re into. Just own them—wear your shoes proudly and with a hint of childlike happiness.
(I swear, future Wardrobe Staples posts will include things besides just shoes! The last installment of the series was about the iconic Bean Boots.)
What are your Feel Good Shoes?

I. LOVE. THOSE. SHOES. Pink, round toe, Kate Spade… they are like perfection in the best form.
Seriously, they are just awesome. I highly, highly recommend them because I love the almond toe and how comfortable they are. What are your Feel Good Shoes? You didn’t say! I know you have to have a pair. :)
I love these Kate Spades =)
Thanks! I know you’ve seen them on me on many an occasion. :)
Those shoes are Adorable! I think my problem is I have too many feel good shoes and not enough daily practical shoes. Right now I am loving my Vivienne Westwood Bright Red rocking horse Wing shoes.
Oh my goodness, I have way too many pairs of Feel Good Shoes too. My boyfriend keeps saying I need to buy more flats (which are more practical for my job and for the fact that I walk most places), but bah! I want cute Feel Good Shoes, darn it. Are your Vivienne Westwood’s comfortable? They look it!
My feel good shoes are a pair of Michael Kors 4″ heels. I never wear them unfortunately. Maybe this year on vacation? love yours!!
You better wear those on vacation! When else would you wear them, if not then?
What do they look like?
