I Love New York (State)

It’s Friday night, and what am I doing? Blogging. It’s rainy, and I’m staying in, though my near future involves wine, pasta, and a chick flick with my friend Laura. Life could be worse.

That being said, I’m missing my hometown just a little. This time last week I was embarking on an epic night of wine drinking with Cody. There are so many things I’ve missed about home. I’ll tell anyone who will listen about my love for New York—the state, the city, the whole thing. Wegmans, chicken wings, real Italian food. White hots. Snow for more months than I wish to admit. The lack of political hooplah (living in a swing state is a gamechanger). The people. My family. My dear alma mater on the Genesee. Great wineries only 45 minutes away. Chinese delivery. The guidos at the bar. East side versus west side.

Happy Friday. Hope your weekend is off to a good start, wherever you are!

Aww…NY isn’t my hometown. But I haven’t been there in a while and I miss it!
